Transport assistance for flood-affected communities

If you:

• Have lost your vehicle in the floods; or
• Need a vehicle to help you help others by transporting food or goods to flood-affected areas

Get $50 credit to borrow a local car

If you need short-term access to a car, those impacted by the floods can receive $50 credit to book and use any car on Uber Carshare until 30 May 2022*.

If you are a new user, to claim your $50 Uber Carshare credit:

2 Once you receive verification, search and book cars

3 The driving credit will be removed from your total at the end of your trip

Hire of Hyundai cars in Lismore

With few or no local rental cars available, the local community urgently needs more short-term car hire services.

To help fill the gap, Uber Carshare and Hyundai have delivered 10 vehicles from Sydney to Lismore. An additional 10 cars are headed to other areas around the Northern Rivers to increase supply in these impacted areas.

Uber Carshare members who are looking to assist with flood relief efforts, such as by transporting food or other goods, but are needing assistance with transport, such as a van, please get in contact with us as we may be able to assist with up to $500 in driving credit to cover the cost of your trip^.

Locals wishing to share their cars on the platform to help support their community will be supported with $250 bonus income after their first trip has been completed**.
